Day 1: For Mentors, Coaches, Leaders, and Administrators
Leadership Strategies for Intentional Coaching 

Coaching and mentoring has proven to be effective in supporting classroom teachers. This session will support you in designing a new template for continued growth that will inspire a healthy working climate and will promote collaboration and a positive working relationship with your team. Develop a transformational change plan for your school that is completed during the session. Come and create healthy strategies for managing conflict.

Day 2: For All Working with Young Children
Connection- Based Practices: Strengthen Attachments and Boost Brain Processes through Social Play using Prevention Strategies During Daily Routines 

Explore effective classroom management strategies through small group interactions that offer young children a way to experience quality of relationships that strengthen attachment, attunement and social play.  Understand how the brain uses symptoms of behavior to signal a need for help regulating emotions and how to integrate best practice teaching strategies into these lessons.

About the Speaker:Jenny Barkac

Jenny Barkac is an Educator working with teachers and administrators to approach emotional regulation proactively. Teaching strategies to encourage positive instructional and behavioral changes that will increases student emotional regulation.  Using 25 years of classroom experience and her recent doctoral work, Jenny has established an effective way to teach self-regulation through daily routines.  Jenny has presented at state and national conferences on topics related to transformational change, behavioral interventions, and understanding the brain to manage emotions.  She is an educational consultant who views challenging behavior as a skill deficit and teaches others the power of perception and intentional teaching through prevention and intervention strategies.  Her work as a behavior Interventionist allowed for intentional interventions that uniquely contributed to working with the whole child while helping them to develop internal strategies for managing emotions in a safe way.
